Real Time
Real Time is a 1000-piece collection by photographer David Lawrence. It is all shot using the iPhone to preserve authentic day-to-day moments. Every image is “Fully Verifiable” using the “Real Photos” application. In addition to each image being “Fully Verifiable”, the app allows you to capture an image and publish it as an NFT that can be bought, sold, or stored on the BASE Block-Chain.
”Fully Verifiable” means that each image is embedded with metadata confirming time, location, and the absence of edits or AI. As far as David knows, Real Time is the first “Fully Verifiable” photo series of its kind.
Each image is straight out of the camera and published in “Real Time” to preserve the reality of each moment.
In this collection, you will find a wide variety of images from David’s life around the city of Orlando and wherever he finds himself day to day. David’s goal is to capture life authentically and encourage others to do the same.
Below are images from David’s first gallery showing of “Real Time”. This was a month long installation he hosted at So What! Arts Gallery in downtown Orlando, FL. He displayed over 300 images and invited participants from all around the community to come and view the work.
A huge part of the installation was a massive collection of recycled items he collected in the week leading up to the show. A common theme as he walked around making these photos was seeing trash and debree everywhere. He thought “What if I brought this atmosphere into the show and invited others to play in it?”
