Punk Portraits Photo Project

The synopsis is simple:

1,000 Punks escaped the blockchain long enough to sit for a studio session with portrait photographer David Lawrence. After they returned to the blockchain their Portraits were minted to commemorate the occasion.

“A friend of mine reached out to me and asked if I could take ‘10,000 headshots’ I thought it was a typo and after a couple of emails back and forth we jumped on a phone call. He told me about ‘CryptoPunks’ and how they were the most sought-after of all NFT art pieces. CryptoPunks was created in 2017 by a company called ‘Larva Labs’. There are 10,000 different unique punks all created by a digital algorithm. All with their own attributes and qualities. He wanted to create a project based on bringing the punks to life. To say the least, I was all in. I’d been wanting to get into the NFT space and didn’t even know where to begin.

As we continued to talk, we didn’t think 10,000 would be doable, so we settled on creating 1,000 different punks.”
