“Print” - Immerse 2019
“Print” is a photo project and installation that appeared at Creative City Project’s Immerse for 2 years in a row. It was inspired by the passing of my grandmother and realizing that though I was a professional photographer and she lived less than 3 miles up the road from me, I never had captured any photographs of her.
As a response, I wanted to ensure that I didn’t do anything like this again. So, I photographed all of my closest friends and relatives, bought a printer, and put all of their photos in a gallery and then invited the community to come and have the same experience.
We printed two copies of each image. One for the person to take home, the other for them to sign and date to be hung on a gallery wall. During this year pictured below, we photographed and hung over 500 different images of people in the Downtown Visitors Center.
Below are bts images of the whole event captured by my friend Arlene Laboy.
